Not enough bar staff to keep up with the night. It was a private function so they should know how many punters they have to deal with and this wasn't catered for. Shoddy.

This is a very trendy pub and restaurant I visited for the first time with family.The service is very and friendly staff.The food is a tapas type menu so let's you choose several dishes and we could all mix and share and was very well presented we all enjoyed the evening. Oh yes and the beers and lagers was a good range to choose from.I forgot to mention this place is in Ackworth West Yorkshire.
This was the first visit and sadly will be the last. The food was good but the service abd choice options were terrible. The waitress serving us behaved like she wished she was anywhere other than work. The tables were sticky, glasses and cutlery badly stained. Despite assurances at the time of booking that there was a good choice for vegetarians the choice was limited to two options. Out of a party of five two received their starters..with none of the remaining three receiving theirs. The main courses were served and when we asked where our starters were we were told they were going to be served with the main meals! Somehow roast beef dinner and Thai fish cakes aren't particularly a good mix. When ordering our food we had wanted to book side dishes as some of the main dishes looked more like starters (beware the cod cheeks main dish which really is a stretch to claim to be a main dish). Apparently they could not provide any of the side dishes we wanted because they'd had a busy day the day before. This is not what you expect from a restaurant. We would definitely not recommend.
Lovely food and nice interior, let down by poor service from some staff who gave the impression they wanted to go home and it was time for us to leave, this being around 10pm, cleaning up and cashing up whilst our party were still eating and drinking in the dining area. Looking at previous reviews it seems something has gone wrong, what's happened I came in Feb and everything was perfect and now as others have commented service is letting it down, such a shame for this little gem.
