Mike and the team were outstanding for our move. The team arrived on time very professional and helpful throughout. Having used MOD removals these guys were 100% better and more efficient. Fantastic service and Mike came to my rescue when one of the larger national removal companies let me down with only a week to go. Leeds to Devon so a long distance move and the guys were great. Thank you to Mike, Deon and the gang.
We used these over 2 years ago, blokes that moved us were fine it was the bloke who owned it that was the problem, came to give us a quote, knew we had a tight drive and said it was ok we can get down there. The morning of the move the lads turned up couldn't get down and phoned their boss who told them just to abandon it ??? Day of our move and just to leave us ? Luckily the lads worked hard and parked on the road and carried our stuff. That's the only reason why I have given 1 star. Appalling behaviour from the boss, seen as he was the one who came and checked the house out in the first place.
Knights Move think it's acceptable to attempt to bully and intimidate women.In short: Knights Move made moving day a needless stress and were aggressive towards my girlfriend, with Mike (the owner who took part in the move) actually threatening to hit me in the street at one point. You should definitely avoid if you have women or children involved in the move (including your sellers or buyers).The details:The first dealings we had with Knights Move was when the business owner, Mike, came round to provide a quote for our move. During the visit, he seemed to be doing some kind of power trip tactic, with odd behaviour and a posture like he owned the place. Towards the end he didn't take very obvious cues to leave and after he did leave, both my partner and myself knew that we wouldn't be using Mike or his company due to his weirdness - it's not something you need to put up with on moving day!Fast forward several months and our moving day finally came. We were running behind on the day due to some of our moving people not turning up and various van hire issues, so the day was already stressful enough but we were making the best of it. We were in contact with the buyer and they were aware of our issues and were supportive. We had cleared the upper house and attic ready for their moving men to start moving things in, we still had items in the downstairs of the house that we would make a second van trip for.Our exchange also hadn't yet happened either so we did not have the keys for the property we we moving into, so we'd asked our buyers to hold off for an hour or so until we got the keys and they seemed fine with this. However a short while later, their removal company turns up and it was none other than Knights Move. To add to our troubles our van had run flat, so it took a short while to borrow some jump leads and get the van started so we could move it out of the way for Knights Move to start dropping stuff off. After the van had been moved, my partner came to me and said that Mike had been aggressively having a go at her in the house. It turns out that he wasn't happy about the delay and also that we'd not taken him up on his quote and, rather than come to me, thought it was acceptable to start being aggressive towards my girlfriend when I wasn't about.Needless to say I confronted Mike about this he started to get aggressive with me also, threatening to punch me and getting in my face in the street. One of Mike's staff had to step in and take Mike away.I then got a call that our keys were ready and left with the van. My partner decided to back into the house to collect our cats on her own. When she went in, Mike rounded on her again in the living room with one other member of his staff, blocking off her exit and started to have a go at her again. She had to shout at him to get out of her way and let her leave. His purpose seemed to be to either start a physical fight with her or to upset her, he was aggressive and overbearing. We have a new born baby and luckily the baby was not with her at the time, because as she pointed out to me, she thinks he would have still behaved that way even with the baby present.Our additional moving people arrived to help us move after their unforeseen delay, and we went back to the house to collect the last van full from downstairs. We were four men and my partner, and there were no more incidents after this, in fact some of the other men from Knights Move actually assisted us with some of the larger items and in getting the fridge freezer out of the door. Mike stayed in the moving van.This isn't the only review on the Web which has an instance of Mike been aggressive. It is interesting that each time he started to be aggressive it was with my partner not me, and the second time when she was alone he appeared to seek her out to start trouble.Update: Knights Move used to have lots of negative reviews on Yell, but the company has now turned reviews off on that site so they can no longer be seen, nor can new reviews be submitted.
Made the whole move less stressful. The team were very careful with our furniture and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys.
