bought chainsaw off them 12 months ago had an issue with it recently that was really a manufacturers fault but jc pwerco sorted it no problems after a good chat with the owner ,well pleased with the outcome of the issue .would recommend these lads thanks

Make up your mind.My stupidity, I completely twisted the blade on my Bosch mower. I phoned Pontefract Mowers and said Id twisted the blade on my Bosch 40cm mower.On the other end of the phone I heard a sharp intake of breath, Thats an expensive part! Bring it in and we will see.I took the machine in. One look and another sharp intake of breath, Thats an old machine, Bosch have renewed all of their models, I dont know we can get a part.Ill see.I left my young ten year old mower there and went off hoping.Three hours later, a phone call. Bosch are no longer making parts for this machine and when they did it was 30.00. I can sell you a new machine, best of its type, 190.00.I collected my old machine hoping that I might get something less than 190.00 on tinternet.Then, I had a sudden idea; try B&Q. There in B&Q hanging up on display was a 40cm blade. Slightly different in outline but identical fitting. 15.99. Two minutes and I had it fitted. The hardest job was digging out my spanners.Grass is looking good and Ive saved 174,01.
Botched service on husqvarna ride on mower. Put Jeremy Clarke of JC powerco LTD of Ackworth into court. On return of the mower after servicing i experienced a severe vibration when the cutting deck was engaged it was completely out of balance. JC powerco collected the mower and reported a new drive belt was required due to damage. I instantly questioned why had that not been reported during the service. On receiving the mower back i realised it was time to check the mower over for any further problems. On checking the oil level it was well above the maximum mark on contacting JC powerco and asking Jeremy Clarke said it would be due to the carburetter needle valve been worn allowing fuel into the oil creating a high reading on the dipstick. The estimate for this job would be 35+VAT+fittings+30+VAT for collection and returning the mower. If a new needle valve wasn't available a new carburettor would be needed. In this case the cost of the service and the new belt and a carburettor it would be far in excess of the value of the mower. At this point I realised it was time to have a independent inspection of the mower which resulted in a minefield of problems botched : 1)Two air filters charged for when the mower only had one2)The spark plug had not been changed but a new one charged for3)Dirt in the carburettor 4)The rim on the oil filter rusty5)oil drain point (sump plug) had been pushed in but not twisted to tighten it.Once this evidence was shown to Jeremy Clarke his reply was " maybe or maybe not the parts were fitted i dont know "Then in compensation he offered me 61.85 + VAT . A mere pittance for the time and inconvenience caused. So it's time to let the court decide now.(Comments made by the judge)"Why had 46% more been charged for Labour than quoted and did JC powerco LTD have any system in place to check parts used on a vehicle and to know when to restock them to take their place"The judge also expressed concern regarding the statement on the company's description. " Yorkshires number one garden machinery expert's" And this should have never have come to court.In the end the judge awarded me 316.76Thank you for your British justice.
I don't live close to the shop, so I called these guys over the phone to see what they had in stock; they were extremely helpful and sorted me out with a used garden tractor, sweeper and trailer at a very affordable price. They arranged delivery and the machine came fully serviced with a brand new cutting deck and sweeper brushes. I can't recommend them enough! Top service, very helpful, good job, many thanks!
